Re-Issue Templates 100-323

All of the templates I still have copies of to date are being re-issued, excluding the missing ones 291-299 as well as #290, as I wait to see if I can find those. I have grouped the files in sets of 10 unless the file was too large, then I broke it down for easier downloading. If you need a preview of what's included in each download before you download them, refer to the older posts in the archived links to the right. This is the quickest, simplest way for me to get these back online and to move on with new templates, starting at #324. Most of templates 1-99 are forever gone and weren't properly numbered in the first place.

**These are currently being uploaded at 11:30am EST on 1-10-12, so check back to see if the files are completely uploaded if you are wishing to grab all of them. There are 25 total zip files.**

Does anybody out there still have complete files for Templates 291 thru 299? I am missing those (probably from that crash I had way back when) and 4shared had deleted them. If you do, email them to my dittersdoodles@yahoo.com email account. Thank you so much!

UPDATE: I do have all of them except for #295 now. Thank you, Barb!!! It really means a lot that you were able to send them to me. I've been working hard to collect everything and get them backed up, yet again. I will post these templates as soon as I pull the png's from the layered files for those that use them in other programs. It'll be in the next few days. Hopefully #295 will show up during that time =)

Yes, you heard it right, I'm back. I have over 300 templates. I'm debating on if I should re-offer them in bulk form or if I'll create new ones, or both. I have to close out a few projects before I get back into the swing of things around here. Give me a bit. In the meantime, run over to the Freebie Vault, where I have already started offering up 2009-2011 store kits for free! I was asked recently how to modify the files. I'm assuming the asker wanted to know how to use the templates. There are many different ways and it all depends on your technique and level of skill, the program you are using and what the end results is that you are wanting. Below is a list of sites where you can find help. Please add in the comments section your favorite tutorial sites or posts, feel free to add your own blog as long as it pertains to template tutorial. My Gimp blog covers the concepts of scrapbooking with templates in more than one post. Gimp is similar to Photoshop.

Brady Bunch Template

In order to use this template as intended (as in the Brady Bunch theme) you need to do extractions of your headshots, however you can use it any way you want. You can leave the backgrounds like they are, 3 of them included, or you can add overlays to change the look of the color. You can also add layer styles or papers for your black frame instead. There are tips and ideas included in the file but as a jpg file. The usual formats are all in one single zip file: psd, xcf and png. If the frame is larger than you want, you can scrap it as it is, flatten your frame as a single layer, then add a background paper, reduce your frame layer as needed, then embellish and add text.

It took me a long time to get these pieces to match up good. The templates I used were all a different size and didn't interlock. I have used this template already and it does turn out nice. Drop shadows and tilting added to each piece creates different looks. Add photos or papers to the pieces or alternate between them. The center can be a large photo or for journaling, word art or alphas.

The outset photo can be used with the optional photo block or delete that layer and use the photo block from the grid of pix instead. Keep the frame to highlight a particular photo. You can use some of the photo blocks for different papers and add an element or two, even large alphas, to create a unique look.

I did the best I could with the torn edges but if you already have torn papers in a kit than follow along with the layers. Lots of peek-a-boo spots showing the paper beneath. You might have to repeat a paper here and there to achieve it.

First off, thank Tammy for the gobs of work she's been doing making posts for me when I can't, both here and on the Freebie Vault blog. When I can upload but don't have the time to post, she does it for me. Wifi at McDonald's is how I'm getting a lot of this done.

As of this post I have thru template 312 done. Coming up both here and at FV I have themed templates and masks, monthly calendar ones and 5x7 photos. I have some alpha sets, both free and for a mega collection headed to the store. I will be uploading the 345 loose buttons to Lulu when time allows, in the meantime a cluster was uploaded the other day. To answer an email, the baggie was from Attic Treasures' blog and isn't included because it's not mine. I'm sure it's still available, if not just ask her. Although I have been offline for the most part, as you can see I have been busy.

Another thing, starting with the 300 series templates, I have chose to upgrade the way I present the files by inserting text and jpg tips with alternate layouts, options or help using various parts. You may also notice some of these templates are simply paper making templates. These are commercial use. I know how much of a pain it is to get the simple idea together, coloring is only half the battle, then if you want to do that again in a different theme, you have to start over. For the basics you won't have that problem. These do take a lot of time to put together. You may find them tucked within a full page template but the words paper maker will be there on the preview.

Feel free to leave a comment requesting a style of template you wish to have. I'm running out of ideas or sometimes just being creatively lazy, lol. These don't have to be full page templates. I have thought I might offer some element templates as well, which many of those will be CU.

An update about my situation: I am trying to save to get my car back on the road. It's hard when I'm paying out so much $$ for others to take care of my children. I've had to turn down a couple of very good, high paying jobs because of lack of transportation. Once I have a car it's only a matter of time before I get a job, then a home and ultimately back online each day.

I miss each and every one of you and all of the comments and emails have touched my heart. It's one of the things that has kept me going and kept me attached to my mouse.

Well, we lost our battle with our home. Our landlord didn't pay the mortgage. Despite paying 2x the amount for rent that the landlord was supposed to pay for the mortgage payment, the bank still wanted us to move. They want a vacant house on the market. I guess our money isn't good enough for them, they didn't even do a credit check, refused to actually. We have to be out on Christmas Day. Yeah, that's what I said but it had some 14 syllable cuss words in it too (kept those in my head because I have little ears around and it wasn't very lady-like).

Since our family is so large and with no savings left, we don't know where we are going to go. I'm going to stay with friends with my children all going to someone in their family (my "un-in-laws"). I can't keep them with me. 2009 is going to start out a lot tougher than 2008 ended.

The closest thing to decorating for Christmas was my freebie blog! We are in the middle of moving, the decorations are still in the attic. Today the winds were really bad, 20 to 30 mph gusts blowing around the 11 inches of snow we got in the wee hours of Friday. The wind chill was -10 F (yes, MINUS). We didn't get anything accomplished so we chose to spend the day as a family cooking up food that will otherwise go to waste and played video games. It was fun, but sad at the same time.

What does this mean for you? I won't get my calendar templates up until the end of the month. I'm doing both years, '09 and '10. I have them started, not going in order only because of the brushes I have available at the time.

This also means templates might go from every day to every other day. I won't have internet for some time and will be trying to make what I have last until the end of January. As of this post I have thru the 29th done, 28th scheduled. None for January.

Doubt I'm going to raise the store prices back up from the 12 Days of Christmas sale. If I do raise them, it will be lower than the original price.

While I'm unplugged, I can work on some kits and find those other projects I haven't completed yet. I got uninspired and bored, somewhat frustrated, so I decided to shelf them until I wasn't having a block anymore. And I really need to feed the freebie folder back up so when I return I can get that blog a hoppin'!

I will try to find an internet connection from time to time to check in, but you can always contact Tammy (Bunchie) if you have any major concerns. I will be speaking with her by phone on a weekly basis. She has all of my templates. If a link has gone bad, she can fix it.

This template comes with a bonus paper and completed elements (the stars). NOTE! The paper is not inside the layered files (xcf-psd) because it made those files so huge. The zip was 100 megs! It's 18 megs now. Strange, huh? First, I had a layout for the inspiration for this template so it came up randomly. But I think with many of our soldiers that have been blessed with being home for the holidays, this is a good template to put your newest photo in. I had fun making the paper even though the coloring had me a bit frustrated. I didn't want to change the flag colors but wanted the burned antique look. My Constitution image was stark white.

This template has several layers. The large lines around the edge and across are one layer, creating the four blocks. Then there's another layer for the center block edging. You could easily have just the four blocks instead of the 5th in the middle.

I am glad all of you are enjoying these templates and they have been working out for you. I have gotten many emails and comments about them. I will make sure I keep them coming. I'm going to work on 253 and 254 tonight before I go to bed (I am writing this at midnight 12-11 on a scheduled post). I won't forget to name them as requested.

For those that don't have Gimp, you can delete the xcf file. I put it in the same file since there are more and more people using Gimp and the file is smaller than a psd. I will only break up a file if it exceeds 20 megs for the template, putting the xcf file in it's own zip.

Want to hear something funny? Today I was cleaning an office building that has been vacant for some time. Spiders have moved in and it wasn't cleaned when the last tenants moved out. Well, I was having problems with the vacuum cleaner so I tore it apart. Wouldn't you know it, there was 2 pencils over 4 inches long and a Hot Wheels car stuck in the hose. I had previously used it on my furniture. I wish I had my camera with me. Life with boys.
